Wim Hof Method

Farid Hashemi’s training with “The Iceman” Wim Hof began in the mountains of Poland and Czech Republic in December 2015.  He trained his mind and body by meditating in subzero waters, doing barefoot hikes over ice covered terrain, and climbing the 5500 foot frozen Mount Sniezka wearing only swimming trunks.  It was after a deep breath work session, that Farid knew he wanted to become a Wim Hof Method Certified Instructor, and teach this powerful technique to everyone in his reach. One year after that life changing trip, Farid became among the first 25 certified Wim Hof method instructors in the U.S.A. He continues training with Wim and the Innerfire team, and is an instructor at Wim Hof Method events. Through the experience of training individual clients, himself and teaching workshops worldwide, the e-Motion Training philosophy evolved.

We teach the Wim Hof Method in its entirety as Wim taught Farid.  The breathing exercises that increase energy, strengthen the immune system, improve mood, mindset and focus.  The Wim Hof Method is meditation for the modern woman/ man ; it provides an easy, surefire way within oneself, to achieve peace and stillness in an otherwise anxious and chaotic society.

 

“The cold is my warm friend.” We approach training with cold exposure progressively and from the perspective of personal training; treating each client as an individual and tailoring exposure to their needs. Progressive cold exposure training in the hot Los Angeles area is done using our Custom “Ice jacuzzi” which offers purified water using an ozone generator, while being both drought friendly, and eco-friendly by conserving on the use of water, ice and energy.  The “Ice Jacuzzi” is a strong training tool for both recovery, as well as managing the “fight, flight or freeze” response of the nervous system; presenting a host of additional benefits at better value than standard cryotherapy.

 In combination with personal training
 We use the breathing exercises of the WHM before training sessions to: increase energy, optimize breathing mechanics, sharpen focus and concentration, as well as priming and controlling the central nervous system for the training ahead.  Breathing exercises are utilized during training sessions as an active recovery and to keep energy levels and focus high.  Post-training breathing is utilized to bring the body into the relaxed state and prepare for cool down and flexibility training.

We also teach the specific yoga postures and asanas in conjunction with breathing exercises that are taught by Wim in the Fundamentals Course and was taught to Farid in Poland.
